Thumbnails and ideas

These are my earliest thumbnail ideas which are examples of me experimenting using different mediums getting a feel for different types of paint, acrylic and gouache in particular, dip pen and pencil crayon. I’ve tried to incorporate the look and style of the 1930s in these thumbnails.

these thumbnails are examples of me playing around with an idea almost riffing off of one idea. I’ve experimented with diferent colour composition and perspective and with different mediums to get an idea of what would fit best with the my research and themes of the book.
I continuously experiment and played different design ideas by doing so brought me on to my next ideas which brought me onto these thumbnail ideas.

these are some ideas for my Vignette, when it came to the outcome part of my project i decided it would look most effective if i had Lino printed the design and layerd the colours. however when I started chipping away at the Lino I had realised id cut out the Lino back to front, I was gutted as id already invested so much time into chipping away the Lino cairfully until I got the design I wanted, however when I actually printed it it ended up being the greatest mistake ever as it turned out to look fantastic as it was. and I soon realised that I could infected still layer the colours on to it like I intended to do in the first place.
